Caliber Expanded Learning Vision

Caliber’s Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELOP) vision is that all youth experience a range of quality after-school, intersession, and other expanded learning opportunities that promote their intellectual, creative, and healthy development.

How do we do this? At Caliber, ELOP offers:
Before School Care
After School Program
Intersession Camps
Summer Camp

The California State Legislature has allocated ongoing funding designated for expanded learning through the Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELO-P). In compliance with state guidelines, the Expanded Learning team is required to prioritize unduplicated students for enrollment. 7th and 8th graders will be prioritized for siblings of Unduplicated TK-6th grade students. These qualifications include TK-6th grade students who are:

  • In TK-6th grade
  • Experiencing homelessness
  • Foster youth
  • English Language Learners
  • Qualify for free/reduced lunch

While we encourage all families to apply, please keep in mind that priority will be given to students who meet these criteria. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to expandedlearning@caliberschools.org.

Applications for Before School Care are now closed and we will only add students to the waitlist. If you're interested in adding your student to the waitlist, please fill out this form. Please note that waitlist order will be determined by student priority status and staff-to-student ratio availability. Once all priority students have received placement in the program, the waitlist will be first come first serve (in order of when applications were received). The ELOP team will reach out via email and text as soon as a spot opens up for your child, but we are unable to provide an exact timeline of when students will be taken off the waitlist.

At Caliber Public Schools, we’re proud to partner with BACR (Bay Area Community Resources) to provide high-quality After School Program services across our campuses. BACR’s dedicated staff bring energy and care to the program, supporting our students in their academic growth, social-emotional learning, and enrichment opportunities. Together, we create safe, engaging spaces where students can develop the skills to explore new interests and build meaningful relationships beyond the school day.

Q: What if my child does not meet the priority criteria?

A: Families are still encouraged to apply for ELOP programs. Waitlist order will be determined by student priority status and staff-to-student ratio availability. Once all priority students have received placement in the program, the waitlist will be first come first serve (in order of when applications were received). The ELOP team will reach out via email and text as soon as a spot opens up for your child, but we are unable to provide an exact timeline of when students will be taken off the waitlist.

Q: Why am I on the waitlist?

A: No. We are currently not taking any payments for ELOP programs.

Q: Who do I contact with additional questions?
